RCS is the Perfect Fit for the Greguson Family

Eleven years ago, as parents of four young boys, we searched our hearts as we tried to decide which schools would best fit the needs and priorities of our family.  As past educators, we had specific experiences and preferences that shaped what we felt would provide successful growth for our children … academically, socially and spiritually.

The Rochester Catholic Schools have provided this perfect “fit” for our family.  From preschool to high school, we have found an indescribable sense of community, where everyone works closely together … the school, church, families, and the whole RCS community … to support and nurture every aspect of growth in our children.  Academically, there is no doubt that our children are receiving a strong education with thorough preparation for their future pursuits.  We treasure the sense of belonging, involvement, and accountability that comes with a smaller school size … our teachers know each of our children and their individual learning needs.  Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, this unique community is able to weave the common thread of “Christ” and our Catholic faith throughout every aspect of our children’s lives, providing consistency and support for our own family values.  We love the fact that our children can celebrate their faith and incorporate prayer and virtue within daily discussions at school and their extra-curricular activities. 

We feel that the Holy Spirit School community has given our boys the environment to grow strong Christian roots throughout their early years, preparing them for the amazing opportunity to mature and flourish as young adults at Lourdes High School.  Our eldest son’s experiences at Lourdes in the classroom, extra-curriculars, and campus ministries were incredibly positive and inspiring as we watched him being nurtured by the many mentors and members of the Lourdes community. The tradition and experience of the Lourdes Family is priceless, and we feel passionate about continuing this legacy for our own boys, their classmates, and for generations of children to come!  Lourdes has provided a cornerstone in Rochester for decades, and we see the Lourdes Building Our Future vision as our responsibility to help provide and continue this wonderful opportunity for future generations.
